Infraplus supported Diwi Consult Emirates in delivering a comprehensive transaction advisory for the development of a Surface Water Treatment Plant and Transmission System under a PPP model. The project’s vision was to establish a sustainable water supply infrastructure for BSMSN, one of Bangladesh's major industrial zones.

Scope of Work & Implementation:

Selection Stage:

Conducted screening of thirty Pourashavas to identify viable participants.
Delivered a detailed recommendation report with justification for the selected municipalities.

Feasibility Stage (Water Supply):

Assessment of existing water infrastructure and capacity.
Population and water demand forecasting using demographic and industrial data.

Detailed Project Report Stage:

Engineering Surveys for treatment plant and transmission network.
Detailed Engineering Design for:
- Intake structure at Chandpur Point, Meghna River
- Complete Surface Water Treatment Plant (WTP) including:
  - Pre-treatment, Coagulation, Flocculation
  - Clarification
  - Rapid Sand Filtration
  - Treated Water Reservoir
  - High Lift Pump Station
- Design of transmission main and distribution network to reach end users.

Sanitation & Stormwater Drainage Feasibility:

Evaluated existing household sanitation systems.
Proposed sanitation improvement strategies.
Conducted storm water drainage studies:
- Analyzed current drainage status
- Assessed future drainage demands
- Proposed drainage system upgrade recommendations
